Meet Myra & Team My Violet

My Violet was founded by Myra Violet Perez on her dining room table in 2008. Her love and curiosity for flowers was cultivated by her mother, who had an unorthodox method to growing, caring and placement of florals that Myra would later adopt the same approach when designing and creating her own arrangements. “What are two elements that don’t normally go together? And how can I make it appealing to the eye” This later evolved to My Violet’s current ethos COLOUR – TEXTURE – SHAPE.

It’s Myra’s humble, down to earth approach (often in sneakers) coupled with a highly skilled and artistic eye that make her a favourite with the discerning, artistic fashion set in Sydney. Her wild, romantic, free form aesthetic has been profiled numerous times.

Myra and her team work from their studio in Redfern which is adorned by her personal collection of vases which she has sourced over the years. Their signature luscious, juicy combinations and moody jewel tones regularly have featured in Australian Vogue, Vogue Living, Harpers Bazaar and Women’s Weekly.
